Congregational transformation happens in three ways:
- Strategically, when people step up and plan to grow.
- Seasonally, when new staff come to a congregation.
- Accidently, when a congregation is in crisis.
Our synod has groups of congregations that are gathering together to revitalize their congregations for all three of these reasons. These groups, plus two brand new ones, will come together at The LEAD Summit, March 22-23, to learn from each other as we experiment our way into the future. Please bring a team to this first-in-a-long-time synod leadership gathering. Synod staff, the LEAD Team and your peers will all be providing leadership for this event.
We will have five learning cohorts at The LEAD Summit:
The Curious Path – a one-time commitment for leaders coming alone or with teams with the hope of gaining new insights for their ministry.
The New Cohort – a new group is starting for congregations that want to commit to a 3-year journey of transformation, incrementally growing their congregations with a new mindset, new skills and new metrics.
The Camp Hope Leadership Summit – for congregations that plan to host Camp Hope Day Camp this summer. Bring the adults who will be on your training team so they are ready to train student leaders. This training has been re-visioned based on all we have learned in the past 30 years!
Coastal Bay Cohort – this is a closed group for people already on the journey who are ready for their second seminar.
Crisis to Mission Cohort – this is a closed group for two congregations and their leaders as they wrap up their journey with face-to-face time with their coach.
