My three sons all find peace, comfort, and assurance at our Lutheran church! As a mother of teenagers, this is an awesome gift to our family, to be completely loved by Christ and by his church. Her boys, Alexander, Ulysses, and Eliseo, all want to serve at worship service and area actively moving toward that goal.

After one visit, it was her sons who decided the Mission Santiago Apóstol at St. James Lutheran Church was perfect for them. As a family, they pray about daily activities. The Lord guides and directs them. They are so glad his wisdom directed them to St. James!

My daughter Mia and I been blessed beyond measure at our home church of St. James in Houston, Texas. As a mission redevelopment established as Santiago Apóstol, we have grown stronger and stronger in our faith. So many people have shown us the genuine love of the Lord here. It is through these relationships we have made with others that we see Jesus.

As our faith has grown, we want to give back to these wonderful people and show the love of Christ too, demonstrating the many ways he extends his love through others with rich blessings of heart, soul, mind, and body. This is our family. This is our home.

We have been very happy here, as the Lord has had greater significance our lives than ever before!

A sister-in-law in the family was going through the process for baptism. The invited family guests were the godparents. During the ceremony, the significance of church, family, and values, all the priorities for a lifestyle this family admired, began to come into focus.

The baptism drew them forward into a new and different lifestyle too. As they made a decision to start attending church at St. James, they noticed the kindness of individuals in the church, the deep satisfaction of personal relationships built on the love of Christ, and realized they were now part of this community. The ties they began to feel were real, and to one another! Daughter Ashley volunteers on special projects along with mom Monica and dad Joe.
