LSU Students on Peru Pilgrimage

Three Lutheran Campus Ministry Students from LSU, Sarah Strode, Matt Blanchard, and Beau Curet, along with Pastor Mike Button will be joining the synod’s annual Peru Pilgrimage this summer. Thanks to a generous donation from the synod and several members of St. Paul in Baton Rouge, the registration fees have been paid for all four individuals.

On this pilgrimage the students have a goal to explore Peruvian culture, foster relationships with Peruvian young adults, and learn about the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Peru. This is a great opportunity for the students to both deepen their faith and expand their world-view as they begin the next phase of their lives.

LSU StudentsThey are currently raising funds to help defray the costs of airfare. If you’d like to help these students out they have set up a GoFundMe page where you can easily make a donation with a credit or debit card. You can also send a check made out to “St. Paul Lutheran church” with “LCM Peru Trip” in the memo line. Thank you for your ongoing support of our students.
