March 15 Last Date for Submitting Requests for New Projects Grants

New Projects grants are one-time grants to help congregations and synod groups start new projects or new ministries.  Examples of past grants for such projects include:

Bayou Cluster Congregations Help 10 New Orleans congregations reach out  
  following Hurricane Katrina  


Synod project Missional Congregation Development  


Synod project Form LYO Action Teams  


Christ the King – Kenner New life center  




Grants for Seminary Scholarships are awarded through the synod’s Candidacy Committee, grants for New Congregations are awarded through the Director for Evangelical Mission, and grants for Campus Ministry are awarded through the Campus Ministry team.  Grant requests are therefore not needed for these objectives.  Each of these objectives will be highlighted in future articles.

Requests for New Project grants must be received in the synod office by close of business March 15 on the Mission Endowment Grant Request Form found on the synod’s website.
