While many people were getting an early start on their Christmas shopping, members of the Kinsman Lutheran Church prepared for their second annual Community Thanksgiving Feast to be held on Thanksgiving Day.
Lynnae Schatz, the church’s director of congregational life, came up with the idea last year and presented the feast proposal to the pastoral staff for approval.
“We were able to serve 255 people in our first year,” Schatz said.
The feast, Schatz said, is not just to feed the homeless and poor, but anyone from anywhere, regardless of circumstances. Read more of the Chronicle article
