Pastors, congregational leaders, committee and team leaders, and anyone interested in environmental and justice issues are invited to attend “Lutherans Restoring Creation – May 7” to learn about incorporating care of God’s creation into all aspects of congregational life.  There is no cost for this one day event at Covenant Lutheran Church, 3785 Barker Cypress Rd., Houston, TX.  The 9am to 4pm meeting, brought to you by the Synod Green Team, will include worship (led by Bishop Mike Rinehart), as well as sessions on Education, Building & Grounds, Advocacy and Discipleship. Lutherans Restoring Creation – May 7, 2011

What is this? Lutherans Restoring Creation is an exciting new initiative designed to encourage the ELCA to incorporate care for creation holistically into its full life and mission at all levels.

Who should come? Pastors & worship leaders; Committee & Team leaders; Committee & Team members; anyone and everyone else with an interest in environmental and/or justice issues.

What does it cost? There is No Cost.  This event is free thanks to grants from Lutherans Restoring Creation and Lutherhill Ministries.  Lunch is also free for those who register by May 1.

What can we expect? What can we expect?  Creation-Care focused worship service led by Bishop Mike Rinehart; four sessions led by professional speakers with plenty of time for Q&A and “how to’s” in all areas.
