Eben Ezer Lutheran Church serves the Oaks Indian Mission and the wider Oaks community. The church parsonage is in need of repair before Eben Ezer will be able to issue a call to a pastor. Bids to repair the parsonage have ranged from $18,000 to $34,000. The congregation is a principal part of the Missions’ life and has a renewed sense of ministry in the community. Unfortunately, its resources are limited. With this in mind, the following is a ‘wish list’ that Eben Ezer needs to complete this necessary task (based on the $34,000 estimate). Skilled labor to complete these tasks and/or monetary donations toward these repairs are greatly needed and would be appreciated:
- Toilets: Remove and replace toilets in the master bath and laundry bath. Includes adding all new lines and cutoff valves. $610.00
- Carpet demolition: Remove existing carpet throughout the house and parquet flooring in the living room. Included is removal of tack strip in the living room and haul off all carpet and trash. $1262.00
- Carpet: Install new carpet and pad throughout the house in rooms that now have carpet. $2350.00
- Paint: Paint all woodwork, trim, walls and ceilings throughout the house. Included are kitchen cabinets, garage, all closets and doors. $7500.00
- Window Replacement: Remove existing windows and replace with a quality double pane vinyl window. $4343.00
- Door Knobs: Replace all doorknobs throughout the house including pocket doors. $541.00
- Electric: Replace all outlets, covers, cable TV outlets, phone outlets, phone jacks, ceiling fans, replace fan in laundry room ½ bath, all ceiling mounted lights and all bathroom wall mounted lights. $2663.00 (Fixtures included in price)
- Patio Door: Replace existing aluminum patio door with a double pane, vinyl construction. Insulated patio door. $1075.00
- Base Board: Install new baseboard in areas of the house where it is missing and or damaged. $262.00
- Master Shower: remove existing tile shower in master bath, replace with new shower, and shower pan. Remove and replace lightweight fiberglass shower unit in hall bath and install a new heavier duty shower unit. Included will be new shower valves and drains. $4914.00
- Master Vanity: Remove and replace the vanity, faucets, cutoff valves, supply lines and mirror in the master bathroom. $600.00
- Laundry ½ bath: Remove vanity, sink, countertop, faucets and mirror. Replace all with new materials. Install new cutoff valves and supply along with new faucets. $765.00
- VCT Tile Flooring: Clean all VCT floor tile in laundry, ½ bath, kitchen, family room and hallway. After cleaning, the floor then application of two to three coats of floor wax. $836.00
- Kitchen: Remove countertops, back splash, drawers and door and dispose of all trash. Install new drawers, door, countertops and back splash. Include will be new cabinetry in the old wall mounted oven area. $4914.00
- Parquet Entry: Clean and sand parquet flooring in entryway. Refinish with polyurethane with a semi-gloss finish. $275.00
- Hall Vanity: Replace vanity top, faucets, cutoff valves, and faucets, in hall bath. $645.00
- Storm Door/Door Knob: Replace the front storm door with a new door and install a new front door knob and dead bolt. $560.00
